Undoubtedly the yummiest, freshest fish and chips in town...and you can expect to queue as a result! Reasonable value too and always served with a smile. If you want to eat them al fresco (because I think fish and chips always taste better this way) pop up to the golf course and enjoy the stunning views of Lewes.

    This has always been the best and even though i live in Ringmer i always get them from here - does anyone remember the old chap who has sadly passed on who always used to shout bye-bye to every customer

    South Street Fish Bar is one of Lewes's prize possessions. They serve absolutely delicious fish and chips that are great eaten straight out of the wrapper, smothered in salt and vinegar.
