Nice, family-friendly local with a really good selection of quality beer and wine, as well as all the standard soft drinks for visits on a school night. They have live music sometimes, and things like colouring in to keep the kids amused. Garden for when the weather wants to play nicely, but the rest of the time the indoors is more than good enough for a meal out, a knees up or just a quick half before going home to face reality!

Friendly welcoming staff, excellent food most of the time, but more pricey than affordable for a weekly meal now. Quality selection of soft drinks and ciders plus good wine.
Sometimes the swearing by the bar flies and unsupervised children ruin the atmosphere, but it is still one of my favourites in town.
Pretty much agree with the review before, changed ownership over the years but still a fantastic pub. The food is much better than in previous years, but thats probably because people have wanted more variety. The beer garden is the selling point for me, gorgeous for this weather.

but I have been to this pub for years through many different ownerships. The food now is better than ever and the bonus for all of us enjoying the warm weather is that they have a ''garden'' out back.
