As the school holidays get into their swing there is a variety of

events going on in-and-around the town to keep the 'little people'

amused:

Saturday July 10 - Saturday September 18

Free reading challenge.

Every one child who reads six books will win a

prize.

Write the best book review and they could also win a DVD

voucher.

Complete the challenge by Saturday 18 September to enter the

prize draw for free tickets to Legoland and Chessington, book tokens

and goody bags.

Tongue and Groove’s Pells Pool Party

The colourful glam-rock band perform (and don't they just) at the Pells

Pool.

Kids are allowed to swim, parents indulge in their drinks,

socialising with dancing across the age ranges.

Arts Summer School

The Kaleidosocpe Theatre Company are to hold their Summer School.

They

promise a fun-filled week for children aged 5 - 13 with a variety of

outdoor and indoor activities such as treasure hunts, games,

improvisations, dance, set/ prop design and puppet making.

Working in small groups led by specialist Drama, Dance and Art teachers

children are encouraged to contribute their own ideas to the creative

process later performing their work to parents.
