1. Where can I do Ashtanga Yoga locally?
2. What are the best nurseries for little people?
3. Does anyone have a house/flat to rent to a very well-behaved small family?
4. What are the best places for going out eating/drinking/playing?

There are plenty of Yoga options in Lewes, not sure about Ashtanga.
Lewes has some great pubs and restaurants too. There are lots of nurseries. Depends which part of the town you are moving to as to which is most convenient.

as for eating - Bills is so well known and family orientated, we love the Real Eating co, Palins (Thai) and the Panda Garden.... but there are too many to mention.

Can't help with the yoga.
There are some useful 'travellers advice' articles in Trip Advisor, including one on the 'Dining Scene' and also local walks.
