Just what I needed – somewhere to hide from the rain and have a restoring cuppa. Good cakes, and the staff were obliging, although it was perilously near closing time. (They were good and efficient this time, Maisie). I spotted a charity box with some very reasonably priced second hand LPs, in wonderful nick. For £1 I purchased a pristine Peter Sellers album, it really looked like it had never been played, and dated from 1958. I will have special place now in my heart for Robsons. Good spot.

I love the food in Robsons and the variety of yummy cakes on display is always irresistable but I find the service there could be improved. Don't get me wrong the staff are always friendly it just seems that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing...and the service can be slow too. Lovely location, great potential, delicious cake...but a bit of investment in efficiency may be required.
