Glyndebourne provides fond memories for me. When I was 8, I was in the cast for Eugene Onegin and remember the dressing room, curly wig and cast parties well. At the age of 16, I was waitressing there. The food in the restaurants is delicious (as we used to get leftovers!) and ranges from Silver Service in Over Wallop to the more informal Mildmay Restaurant. Or altertnatively, picnic on the lawn! And if you haven''t time to make your own...you can order a picnic hamper there. I returned to Glyndebourne more recently and enjoyed the whole experience immensly...the opera, the dressing up, the picnic. ...If you haven''t been, give it a try. I reckon you''ll love it!

How do you rate a place like this: set in beautiful grounds, amazinng artists, good food (if you don''t bring your own). However, I still miss Mohammed in the nearby fields.
