Four teenagers were arrested over the weekend after a break-in at a pub in Barcombe, Lewes, in which £2,000 in cash and a quantity of alcohol was stolen.
Sussex Police said the keys to the pub and those for the landlord's car were also taken in the burglary at the Anchor Inn at 7.30am on Sunday.
Officers immediately searched the area and arrested four teenagers – who had entered the pub through a rear door - within an hour.
The police said that two of the boys are aged 15 and 16 and are from Lewes, whilst the other two, both 16, are from Newick, near the county town.
All four have been bailed until October 3.
