Lewes is a great place to go jewellery shopping whether you're looking for something for you or a special gift. And with Christmas just around the corner, you may like to give these places a try!

If you have a relatively small budget and are fond of silver, Silverado at the bottom of the hill on the High Street has some great value silver gifts. There's lots to choose from and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Tizz's is also a brilliant place for some gifts that won't cost the earth. Whether it's silver, beads or something for your hair you fancy, look no further than this quirky store which has been in the town for many years now.

Lewes has no shortage of contemporary jewellery designers and Jonathan Swan's Workshop and David Smith Jewellery Ltd, both at the top of the town on the High Street, are definitely worth an explore for something unique and artistic.

Enter The Old Needlemakers and you will stumble across Alexis Dove's award winning jewellery. With many items of jewellery being made to individual specification, there is not a huge range of jewellery in the store itself, but what there is is beautiful.

Of course W.E. Clark and Son is pretty much a landmark of Lewes in itself and located by the brewery has some beautiful jewellery displayed on Cliffe bridge. Head North up the High Street and you will find Marston Barrett which has a range of new, second hand and antique jewellery.

If you'd prefer something old rather than new, why not try the Flea Market or one of Lewes's many antique stores for something a bit different?

Whatever you're looking for, Lewes is bound to have it!
